Congratulations To My “Awaiting Results Graduates”

Congratulations To My “Awaiting Results Graduates”
Final year students of Department of Mass Communication in Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), completed their final examination yesterday, amidst excitement. I congratulate them on the completion of that examination and wish them success in it.

I pray that their dreams and talents should take them to great heights in life. May they always feel as happy as they felt yesterday. May the results of their final exams make them even happier than they felt yesterday.

It is normal that students should celebrate the completion of their exams, especially if such completion is actually complete. In this case, there is no guarantee that the examination is actually final. Everything depends on the results. Some would pass. Others would fail. Such is life.

Nevertheless, there is cause to celebrate and give thanks to God, because this is another memorable phase in life. Academic studies is rigorous but rewarding. Nowadays, it is accompanied with uncertainty and undue anxiety, considering the fact that Lecturers and other university staff usually embark on constant strike actions.

Therefore, I share in the joy of students who feel liberated from public universities in Nigeria. The most common form of expressing such joy in CRUTECH is by getting soaked with water. Sometimes this looks rough and bizarre, especially when sachets of water are thrown at graduating students.

Also, students usually wear specially designed T-shirts on the final day of their exams. Some of such T-shirts bear all sorts of inscriptions. Well wishers usually scribble short messages of goodwill on such T-shirts and sign on them.

I couldn’t sign on any shirt, this year. However, this report is my signature of goodwill to all outgoing students of Department of Mass Communication and other students of CRUTECH.

LinCornellah’s blog wish all of them God’s constant favours and the best in life.
