-“Your Heart Is My Home” – VP Osinbajo Tells Wife-
Prof Yemi Osinbajo, Nigeria’s Vice President, has publicly told his wife, Oludapo Osinbajo, that her heart is his “home“. He expressed this passionate message yesterday, through his twitter handle (@Prof Osinbajo), on the occasion of their 28th marriage anniversary.
Here is the full message: “When our worlds collided, it was just a matter of time. Our story began today, many years ago. The harmony in the symphony. My treasure! Happy anniversary Oludapo. Your heart is my home.”
Indeed, there is a time for everything in life. In this case, there is a time to be Nigeria’s Vice President and a time to be Oludapo’s husband.
Certainly, a settled home arising from a loving marriage, paves way for excellence in other endeavors. Like the Holy Bible says in Proverbs 18:22, “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtaineth favour of the Lord”. Prof Osinbajo is a Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. The truth of that Christian verse seems to manifest in his life.
At the time of filing this report, there were 4,310 retweets and 11,344 likes of the Vice President’s message. Also, there were several replies to the message. In one of such replies, Olanrewaju Fisayo (@donvuz) wrote:
“When I saw Prof giving testimony when he was elected in camp; camera turned to his wife, Lady was blasting prayers… obviously praying as he was speaking. Amazing how many sisters in the Lord today pretend they want a Godly husband but won’t do what it takes …. Just ask yourself, as I am – can God give me as a gift to his son as a favour from the Lord?”
The Vice President’s wife is a grandchild of Obafemi Awolowo, late nationalist. Just like her husband, her carriage constantly suggests simplicity and modesty. Both of them also constantly exemplify erudition. In particular, the Vice President is noted for his oratory. He is a Professor of Law and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
His wife, Oludapo, is author of “They Call Me Mama, From the Under Bridge Diaries”. Her book gives a human face to street urchins and seeks to rehabilitate homeless persons.
The Vice President and his wife have three children, two girls and one boy.
